The Edmonton Community Legal Centre (ECLC) provides free legal services to low-income individuals in the areas of civil and administrative law. We do not provide assistance in the area of criminal law.

Some of the issues we may be able to help you with include:
  • Landlord-tenant disputes
  • Immigration law
  • Human rights concerns
  • Employment law
  • Debt law
  • Income support appeals
  • Small claims

If you qualify for these services, we can make arrangements for you to meet and discuss your issue with a volunteer lawyer at one of our evening legal clinics. All evening clinics are by appointment only. To see if you qualify for these services and to book an appointment, please call the ECLC at 780-702-1725.

The ECLC also holds legal information sessions, in partnership with the Edmonton Public Library, on a regular basis at various library branches throughout the city. To find out about upcoming seminars, please visit the "Information Sessions" page, or click here. These seminars are conducted by volunteer lawyers and are free-of-charge. You may register in advance at the library branch holding the session, or just drop in to the session. For more information, please call the ECLC at 780-702-1725.

You can also access general legal information concerning family, criminal, and civil law issues on this site. Please visit the "Legal Information" page, or click here.
