Volunteer Opportunities
Casework Support
Casework support volunteers assist the staff caseworker in case management. Duties may include: research; various clerical tasks; drafting letters; and communicating directly with clients. Casework support volunteers may also have the opportunity to assist in cases involving administrative boards and tribunals. This position provides the volunteer with the opportunity to work with a professional case worker, learn about support services available in the Edmonton area and become familiar with the life experiences of many low-income people.
Hours: flexible, daytime hours
Commitment: minimum of 5 hours per week
Qualifications: a positive and compassionate attitude; good computer skills; strong written and verbal communication capabilities; previous administrative experience is an asset; previous case management experience is also an asset, but not required. We will train the right person with the right attitude.
