Please step forward.

If you have the time, interest to support those on their legal journey, and a passion to build new skills and expand your abilities, we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteers are a vital part of the work being done at ECLC. With your commitment we can empower our community by providing access to justice.

Volunteer as a Lawyer

ECLC offers a flexible way for lawyers, retired lawyers, and students-at-law to contribute, affording both in person and remote opportunities in the summary legal advice clinic.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

  • "I keep volunteering because; I enjoy helping and finding solutions for clients. The sense of relief on the part clients at the end of our conversations is rewarding. Volunteering also helps keep me active, research and learn new areas of the law. It is a way of giving back to the community "

  • "I like to be able to use my knowledge, experience and skills to help people in ways that I am unable to do through my regular employment. I like having the opportunity to mentor law students or junior lawyers. I also want to meet and work with other people with similar interests to expand my personal and professional network."

  • "Every time I go, I learn something new! Opportunity to learn and engage with people. The entire reason I started two fold – 1st to help out the community who are lower income, and truly believe in my bones in Access to Justice,   2nd exposure to legal problems and processed I don’t do in my daytime job."
